• Full-time Duties and Responsibilities:

• Additional duties may be assigned.
• Creates, revises, checks, and releases engineering drawings including detail part drawings, assembly drawings and layout drawings.
• Creates engineering documentation, including test plans, test instructions, test reports, assembly instructions, equipment checklists and preliminary operation manuals.
• Designs and implements customer specials and machine tooling as required.
• Interprets manufacturer specifications.
• Specifies orders and integrates new or replacement purchased components.
• Specifies materials, methods, mechanical components and subsystems.
• Designs mechanisms, power transmissions, packaging, guarding, fabrications, weldments, jigs and fixtures.
• Designs mechanical linkages and structures.
• Participates in machinery tests and evaluations, vibration, thermal and dynamic analyses, and analyses for mechanical failure.
• Provides technical assistance to suppliers, customers, manufacturing, purchasing and service. Also provides technical support to sales and marketing.
• Conducts consulting, installation, testing, training, troubleshooting, and other product support at customer field sites.
• Keeps abreast of latest available technology via trade shows, journals and seminars.
• Customer support and/or field service assistance may be required from time to time.
• Fabricates, assembles, and reworks parts relating to prototype and customer special devices.
• Assistance and/or training for manufacturing assemblers and technicians may be required.
• Occasional interaction with suppliers for new development, obsolete products, and quality issues are required.
• Occasional domestic and international travel may be required.

Education:

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Required Knowledge:

Basic knowledge of

Microsoft Office, Creo, Windchill and AutoCAD Required Experience:

3 to 5 years of related experience and/or training.
