Mechanical Engineer (Corrosion Engineering/Monitoring Experience required) 152 Metal Samples Rd, Munford, AL 36268 Full-time Full-time Metal Samples specializes in manufacturing products for corrosion monitoring and materials evaluation. For the past three decades we have supplied products and services to members of nuclear, medical, aerospace, chemical processing, oil & gas, water treating, and petroleum industries around the world. Metal Samples offers a full range of corrosion monitoring systems, including access fittings for high-pressure/temperature systems to insert and retrieve probes, chemical injection systems, quills, and nozzles. Probes include ER, LPR, erosion, hydrogen, biological, and customs. Corrosion instruments include portable meters, transmitters, and data loggers. Other products include corrosion test coupons, holders, insertion systems, and test racks. Currently we are looking for a suitable candidate with the following profile. Job Summary for
Mechanical Engineer:
We are seeking a highly motivated and technically skilled Mechanical Engineer. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying opportunities, managing client relationships, and providing technical expertise on corrosion monitoring technologies and services. This candidate will also have opportunities to work on other engineering projects shop wide. Experience in corrosion, corrosion monitoring or corrosion-related problem solving to drive business development for corrosion monitoring solutions is required. This role requires a strong understanding of corrosion principles, monitoring techniques, and industrial applications, combined with excellent communication skills. What we offer

Qualifications & Skills for
Mechanical Engineer:
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field. Proven experience in corrosion monitoring field required. Strong knowledge of corrosion monitoring technologies such as corrosion coupons, and online monitoring systems (ER/LPR) preferred, electrochemical techniques, ultrasonic thickness measurement (UTM), Injection and Sampling systems. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Proficiency in CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, Pro E, AutoCAD, Mechanical Drafting, ERP (Epicor). U.S. citizenship is required due to government contract requirements.
Responsibilities of Mechanical Engineer:
Develop and execute strategies to promote corrosion monitoring solutions in industries such as oil & gas, petrochemicals, power, and manufacturing. Continuous development of new products. Conduct technical presentations and product demonstrations to customers, addressing their needs and providing tailored solutions Identify and evaluate the types and severity of corrosion in various materials and structures. Create drawings, schematics, and spreadsheets. Obtain registrations and certifications for offered product line. Collaborate with internal teams, including engineering and product development, to ensure customer requirements are met. Provide technical guidance on the selection, installation, and maintenance of corrosion monitoring systems. Stay updated with industry trends, standards, and competitors to maintain a competitive edge. Attend trade shows, conferences, and industry events to network and promote the company's corrosion monitoring solutions. Travel domestically and internationally when needed for client visits and industry events Identify potential clients, generate leads, and maintain strong relationships with existing customers
