Position Description:
Support design, prototyping, testing, and iteration of mechanical components and assemblies Assist in validating environmental and performance requirements for parts and materials Help investigate, root-cause, and develop solutions for hardware issues Create of update 3D CAD models, drawings, and documentation Collaborate with manufacturing engineers on improving processes, tooling, and manufacturability Conduct hands-on testing, research, or analysis to support project milestones
Applicant Qualifications:
To apply for the Internship program, applicants must be mechanical engineering undergraduate/graduate students OR a be recent graduates who begin program within 12 months of the graduation date To apply for the Trainee program, applicants must have either a degree or professional certificate from a foreign post-secondary academic institution and at least 1 year of prior related work experience in the mechanical engineering field acquired outside the United States OR 5+ years of experience in this field. Advanced English is required Comfortable getting hands-on in the shop- building, testing, iterating Familiarity with 3D CAD (SolidWorks, NX, Inventor, etc.), FEA, composite materials, 3D printing, CNC machining, or rapid prototyping How to
