Mechanical Manufacturing Engineer Program Summary KBR's Missile, Aviation, and Ground Systems (MAGS) division delivers mission engineering solutions for critical U.S. Army programs, specializing in aviation and ground systems, integrated air and missile defense, and threat and target systems. Job Summary Do you like solving problems, no matter how large or how complex? Our Prototype Integration Development (PID) group is offering challenging work to support our customers across multiple military fixed and rotary wing aircraft. The Manufacturing Engineer will play a key role in providing Engineering support to the in-house mechanical production shops including drawing changes, creation of production documentation, and working with Mechanical Engineers to resolve production issues. As the PID Mechanical Manufacturing Engineer, you will collaborate with Program Managers, Design Engineers, and the Production Team to drive process improvements to improve quality and efficiency. Roles and Responsibilities- Develop Production processes
- Aid Design Engineering in drawing revisions using CAD software
- Provide engineering support to the Mechanical production floor
- Aid Quality Assurance representative in inspections of manufactured parts
- Provide Producibility input / reviews on Engineering Designs Basic Qualifications
- Bachelors in an Engineering discipline or 5 years of in a Mechanical Manufacturing Engineer role in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance. US Citizenship is required
- Minimum 3 years of experience using CAD software (i.e. SolidWorks, NX, AutoCAD, CATIA, etc.)
- Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) Preferred Qualifications
- Active DoD Secret Clearance
- Experience with Microsoft Office software
- Demonstrated understanding of mechanical build process flows
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment
- Excellent communication skills to effectively convey complex concepts to diverse stakeholders
- Ability to read and interpret Mechanical technical drawings
- Current GD&T certification
- Experience with US Military Aircraft
- Experience with CNC machining to include programming G-Code
- Experience in developing and incorporating new technologies into the manufacturing process
- Knowledge of military aircraft electrical cables
- Experience with SolidWorks and AutoCAD
- Experience with evaluating parts for airworthiness and/or regulatory compliance
