Job Title:
Mechatronics & Robotics Technician Job Description As a Mechatronics & Robotics Technician, you will utilize your skills to support the Operations Maintenance team in repairing and maintaining material handling equipment and pneumatic systems throughout the building. You will have the opportunity to install, maintain, and repair automated packaging and distribution equipment. Responsibilities Install, inspect, repair, and maintain material handling equipment, such as conveyors. Complete preventative maintenance routines, documentation, and procedures. Perform battery changes and preventive maintenance on batteries. Enter downtime data in daily logs and complete preventive maintenance sheets. Manage work orders within a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). Apply electrical knowledge of basic components to troubleshoot and identify problems with equipment. Track and store the department's inventory, including spare parts. Essential Skills Minimum of 2+ years of experience conducting quality predictive and preventative maintenance procedures. 2+ years of experience in the repair of material handling equipment or automated conveyor systems and controls. 2+ years of experience in blueprint and electrical schematic reading. 2+ years of knowledge with electrical and electronic principles. 2+ years of experience following and demonstrating safety standards. 1+ year of experience in troubleshooting and diagnostics of material handling equipment systems. 1+ year of experience with Microsoft Office products and applications. High school diploma or equivalent. Additional Skills & Qualifications Able to troubleshoot basic input and output functions of building operations. Experience with a CMMS. Continuous improvement mindset. Willingness to learn and grow. Experience with material handling equipment safety standards in accordance with OEM and safety standards. Associate's or higher degree from a vocational school or college with a focus in the Mechanical or Electrical field. 2+ years of apprenticeship or equivalent experience in the Mechanical or Electrical field. 2+ years of experience working with PLC-based control systems. Work Environment The position is based in a large distribution facility equipped with high-speed, automated, and robotic components, located in Sumner, WA. Candidates must be comfortable with a performance tracking system that uses data and numbers to ensure expectations are met. The role involves physical activity, including walking up to 10,000 steps per day and lifting up to 49 lbs at a time. All candidates must be open to any 10-hour shift, with positions available across all shifts. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sumner, WA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $32.50 - $32.50/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
