Job Description

Category Laboratory - Medical Technologist Job Type Contract An opportunity is available for a dedicated Medical Technologist or Medical Lab Technician to support a clinical laboratory team. This contract role is ideal for candidates with a strong scientific background who are passionate about delivering quality diagnostic results and contributing to patient care.
Qualifications:
Valid certification as a Medical Technologist (MT/MLS/CLS/ASCP) or Medical Lab Technician (MLT/ASCP or equivalent) Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related field Experience performing laboratory tests in a hospital or clinical laboratory setting Solid understanding of laboratory safety protocols and quality control Ability to work efficiently both independently and within a team environment Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills Proficient with laboratory information systems and common computer applications
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine and specialized laboratory analyses of blood, body fluids, and other specimens Calibrate, operate, and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment Interpret and validate test results with accuracy and timeliness Ensure proper specimen collection, handling, and processing Adhere to regulatory, departmental, and accreditation standards Maintain laboratory records, quality control logs, and documentation as required Communicate critical values and unusual findings to healthcare providers promptly Participate in continuing education and staff training sessions as needed This is an excellent chance for laboratory professionals to experience a dynamic clinical environment, hone technical skills, and work alongside supportive colleagues.
