Job Description

This position will provide technological support to staff and students K-12 as well as provide assistance to staff and students with the use of media center materials 6-12. This position will maintain, organize, and control circulation of books and periodicals and generate and manage overdue book notices. Additionally, this position will assist staff and students with the diagnosis and resolution of computer-related software and hardware issues. Technology Troubleshoot hardware and software issues as they arise. Install/remove software as directed by the IT Team. Address K-12 technology support desk tickets before escalating to the IT Team. Assess and identify Chromebook issues. Complete basic Chromebook repairs and maintenance (i.e. clear cache and cookies, reset devices and ensure devices are cleaned, charged, and in working order. ) Manage and maintain building-level Chromebook inventory including elementary Chromebook carts. Distribute loaner Chromebooks and chargers. Maintain accurate and complete records and reports for student Chromebook damages and inventory. Maintain elementary Chromebook carts, including conducting minor repairs. Assist in maintaining communications systems in each classroom including phone and video/audio output. Maintain a schedule for portable projectors, screens, and sound systems use for the building. Set up and tear down portable projectors, screens, and sound systems for events upon request. Stay updated on how the district's technology can be applied in educational settings to provide enhanced support for teachers and students. Attend professional development sessions for new district technology. Troubleshoot issues with online testing. Safeguard all usernames and passwords. Demonstrate compliance with federal copyright laws and fair-use guidelines. Attend Technology Assistant meetings as required. All other duties as assigned by the building-level principals and assistant principal, District TA, or Instructional Technology Coordinator. Media Center Filing, shelving, withdrawing, maintaining, and distributing Media Center books. Maintain records, inventory, overdue notices, and forms. Assist with daily supervision of students as deemed necessary. Other clerical duties as needed. Assist with library skills as well as using them to locate resource materials for teachers and students. Repair, order, and inventory all library material. All other duties as assigned by the building-level principal and assistant principal.

Qualifications:
Associates Degree or higher preferred Excellent Computer Skills Ability to communicate with adults, students, and other stakeholders effectively.
Physical/Mental Requirements:
Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, operate a computer, hand-held devices, and other office equipment, reach with hands and arms, and must occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds.
