Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a growth-oriented, detailed, and friendly Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional patient service. This is a start-up medical practice, looking to move away from corporate medicine to return to a patient-centric, staff-centric, and physician-centric environment. We are looking for service-oriented team-players to create a nucleus that will help grow the practice forward. Medical or ophthalmology experience is helpful but NOT required... Applicants must be 1) growth-oriented : wiling to take on a variety of responsibilities in a start up practice with opportunities for personal growth as the practice grows 2) detailed : attention to details and thoughtfulness in work ethic are a must in the medical field 3) friendly : this will be a patient-facing role, so excellent personal skills with a comforting and respectful demeanor are important. Responsibilities may include Working patients up to get them ready for the doctor Assisting the doctor in charting, prepping the room, procedures, etc. Chart preparation and clean up Greet patients and visitors warmly, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere at the front desk. Schedule appointments and manage the clinic's calendar efficiently. Handle patient check-in and check-out processes, including verifying insurance information and collecting payments.
What we are looking for:
Most important is a patient-oriented approach Excellent "customer service" skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients from diverse backgrounds; bilingual candidates (particularly Spanish or Korean) are encouraged to apply. Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. Previous experience within a healthcare setting is preferred but not required .
