Medical Assistant

We are looking for a Medical Assistant to join our fast-paced office. Candidate must have exceptional customer service skills, a positive can-do attitude, and a team focus. Job duties include but are not limited to: Rooming patients Taking vital signs Chart prepping Administering injections Wound care assistance Assisting providers with acute care procedures Performing ancillary services including EKG's, ABI's & PFT's. Administering preventative care screenings Answering phones and provide back up for front office staff as needed Process referrals and prior authorizations Using autoclave and sterilizing equipment Housecleaning duties Restocking and maintaining cleanliness of exam rooms Delineate pertinent patient information to corresponding locations Performing well child measurements Administering childhood vaccinations Communicate with pharmacies and process medication requests Checking patients in and out after appointments. Answering phones Scheduling appointments as necessary.

Work experience/education:

Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent AAMA, AMT, NCCT, NHA, or AMCA Certification preferred but not required. For non-certified MA, proof of a minimum of 1 year of MA experience required. Proficiency in eClinicalWorks preferred but not required.
