Responsibilities Assist a healthcare provider with patient intake, including collecting medical histories and vital signs. Prepare patients for examinations and procedures, ensuring comfort and safety throughout their visit. Perform clinical tasks such as order medications, radiology test, and supporting basic life support protocols. Manage electronic health record (EHR) systems accurately for documentation of patient encounters, ICD coding, and treatment plans. Support the patients by managing insurance review and approvals for medications and diagnostic testing. Facilitate communication with the physician as you are monitoring patient status, updating charts, and coordinating outside testing activities. Facilitate communication between patients and providers by answering questions, scheduling follow-ups, and providing education on treatment plans. Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment while adhering to safety protocols and infection control. Experience Prior experience working in a medical setting is highly preferred. Hands-on experience with EHR systems, ICD coding, and medical terminology is essential for accurate documentation. Demonstrated knowledge of anatomy, physiology and patient care procedures in a pain medicine clinic. Proven ability to handle fast-paced environments while maintaining compassionate patient service is key to success in this role.
