Medical Assistant

Carolina Dermatology and Endocrinology is looking for a full-time dermatology medical assistant to join our team. Eagerness to learn, strong customer service skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment and demonstration of professionalism, organizational skills, attention to detail, flexibility and team player abilities are a must. Previous experience in dermatology is not required, but is a plus. We offer competitive pay and benefits including paid time off, holiday pay, health/dental/vision insurance.

Responsibilities would include:

Prepare treatment rooms for patient care Stock all treatment rooms and work areas with appropriate supplies Facilitate patient referrals and medication prior authorizations Appointment scheduling as needed Patient call backs including test results, prescriptions refills, and questions regarding care Escort patients to exam rooms, obtain history, and reason for visit Serve as a scribe in a fast-paced environment Prepare for any procedures indicated by provider's instruction Assist with cosmetic and surgical procedures Properly record pathology specimens in log book on a timely basis Provide education to patients
