Medical Assistant (Administrative) | Contract-to-Hire Salem, OR | Full-Time, Onsite (Mon-Fri, 8:30 AM-5:00 PM) Are you a Medical Assistant who thrives on organization, coordination, and ensuring everything runs smoothly behind the scenes? We're hiring for a fast-paced specialty clinic where administrative excellence is just as important as patient care. Why This Role Stands Out Strong emphasis on administrative and coordination responsibilities Structured schedule with no weekends Opportunity to transition into a long-term role Work alongside a collaborative, supportive clinical team Make a meaningful impact supporting patients during critical life journeys What You'll DoAdministrative & Coordination Focus (Primary) Manage patient scheduling, follow-ups, and appointment flow Ensure all charts, labs, referrals, and documentation are complete before visits Process FMLA, disability paperwork, prior authorizations, and referrals Handle prescription refill requests, lab coordination, and record updates Communicate with patients via phone and electronic systems Maintain accurate, timely documentation in EMR (Epic preferred) Clinical Support (Secondary) Room patients and obtain vitals (manual when needed) Prepare exam rooms and maintain cleanliness/stocking Assist providers with exams and procedures Provide patient instructions under provider direction What We're Looking For 2+ years of Medical Assistant experience (required) Strong worke exprience in back-office/admin functions (documentation, referrals, authorizations, etc.) EMR/EHR experience (Epic preferred) National MA Certification (or actively obtaining within 30-60 days) Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities effectively
