Job Description
Job Overview Join our healthcare team as a Medical Assistant, where you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care across diverse medical settings. This energetic position offers the opportunity to work closely with healthcare providers, assist in clinical procedures, and support administrative functions to ensure smooth clinic operations. Ideal candidates are passionate about patient service, possess strong medical knowledge, and thrive in fast-paced environments such as outpatient clinics, hospital units, or specialized departments like dermatology or emergency medicine. All positions are paid, emphasizing our commitment to valuing your skills and contributions from day one. Duties Assist healthcare providers with patient intake, including collecting medical histories and documenting symptoms accurately Measure and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates Prepare patients for examinations and procedures by explaining processes and ensuring comfort Support clinical procedures including medication administration, wound care, X-ray assistance, and basic life support when required Manage electronic health records (EHR systems) efficiently to ensure accurate documentation of patient encounters and treatment plans Conduct ICD coding for diagnoses to facilitate billing and insurance processing Perform basic physiology and anatomy assessments to support diagnosis and treatment planning in various specialties like internal medicine or geriatrics Skills Extensive knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and outpatient medicine practices Proven experience in outpatient clinics setting Proficiency with EHR systems for documentation and data management Strong patient service skills with a focus on compassionate communication and efficient intake processes Ability to perform clinical tasks such as vital signs measurement, medication administration, and emergency procedures including Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Familiarity with ICD coding standards for accurate diagnosis documentation Experience working in urgent care, medical-surgical units, or internal medicine environments is highly desirable Capable of supporting inpatient care activities within hospital medicine or emergency medicine contexts This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patient health while advancing your career in diverse healthcare environments. Pay:
