Penn State Health Cardiology provides comprehensive cardiology services to adult patients, serving communities across the East and West Shores. Our offices are located in Camp Hill, Carlisle and Harrisburg. The clinical team when fully staffed includes one MA Clinic Supervisor, one MA II, thirteen Medical Assistants, one RN Clinic Supervisor, four Triage Registered Nurses, and three RN Care Managers. As a Medical Assistant at Penn State Health Cardiology, your responsibilities will include: Rooming patients and recording vital signs Performing EKGs Managing patient communications Processing prescription refills and medication prior authorizations Completing medical forms and documentation Preparing charts to streamline and improve the patient experience Maintaining a clean, organized and well-stocked clinical environment Our clinical team fosters a strong, team-oriented culture, emphasizing collaboration, mutual support, and shared responsibility to deliver exceptional patient care.MINIMUM QUALIFICATION
(S): High School diploma or equivalent required. Must meet current eligibility to sit for the exam with attainment of certification or registration through one of the Penn State Health approved agencies for Medical Assistants within 90-days of employment date or current active status as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) through one of the Penn State Health approved agencies for Medical Assistant certification required. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or must obtain BLS Certification within 6 months of employment date.PREFERRED QUALIFICATION
