Job Description
Overview Join our close knit well established family practice as a Medical Assistant, where your expertise will directly enhance patient care and streamline clinical operations. This vital role combines clinical duties with administrative support, ensuring a seamless experience for patients and providers alike. Your proactive approach and compassionate attitude will help foster a welcoming environment while supporting complex medical procedures and documentation. Duties Assist healthcare providers with patient intake, including collecting medical histories and verifying insurance information Measure and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates accurately Prepare patients for examinations by explaining procedures and ensuring comfort throughout their visit Support physicians with clinical tasks such as blood draws, injections, wound care, and basic medical care when needed Manage electronic health record (EHR) systems efficiently by documenting patient encounters, updating charts, and coding diagnoses using ICD standards Support front and back office with duties such as answering phones, taking messages, scheduling appointments, scanning medical records, basic room stocking and inventory. Skills In-depth knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and pharmacology to support accurate patient assessments Able to work at a fast pace and prioritize work load to proficiently support the physician with patient care. Proficiency in EHR systems for documentation, scheduling, and billing processes; familiarity with ICD coding is essential Strong patient service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and empathetically across diverse populations ranging from pediatric to geriatric patients. State of Florida Medical Assistant certification is required.
Pay:
