Medical Assistant

WeCare at Scotia Bluffs is hiring a Medical Assistant! We provide a 4-day work week, Monday through Thursday, 10 hour days. If interested, please apply today!

Responsibilities:

• Assist healthcare professionals in providing patient care and treatment
• Take and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse
• Prepare patients for examinations and procedures
• Collect and prepare laboratory specimens
• Perform basic laboratory tests, such as urinalysis and blood glucose monitoring
• Administer medications as directed by healthcare providers
• Assist with patient education and counseling
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records
• Schedule appointments and manage patient flow

Skills:

• Medical Assisting experience preferred
• Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology preferred
• Proficiency in taking vital signs and performing basic medical procedures preferred
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills preferred
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of basic life support (BLS) techniques preferred
• Experience working in a hospital or clinical setting is preferred
• Familiarity with medical coding is a plus
