JOB DESCRIPTION
This position assists with the daily activities of our outpatient physical and occupational therapy site. The medical assistant facilitates the flow of patients by providing assisting with clerical tasks such as scheduling and triaging the patient's therapy needs. They also provide assistance with therapy sessions to ensure patient safety and ensures that we have the necessary equipment/supplies. The position requires mastery of basic clinical activities and some advanced clinical activities.
EDUCATION
High school diploma or equivalent required. Vocational training in a relevant area preferred. CPR certification required.
EXPERIENCE
One year experience providing or assisting in direct patient care required. This is a bargaining union position.
