SALARY Medical Assistant I (D-E Steps) : $18.54 - $19.46 Hourly Medical Assistant II (B-E Steps) : $18.11 - $20.96 Hourly Bilingual Incentive! Position:
Under general supervision, provides technical supportive services to the Health Services Agency, performing routine patient care in a clinical setting. Performs related work as required. Assists with the provision of effective patient care Monitors and records weight, height and vital signs; collects various specimens and cultures, performs blood glucose tests and other routine laboratory tests Performs blood draws by venipuncture adhering to established protocols as ordered by health care providers Performs diagnostic tests and assists with minor surgeries as directedBilingual Candidates :

Click the title below to view the complete job description Medical Assistant I | Medical Assistant II Any combination of training and experience that would provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the required qualifications would be: Equivalent to the completion of twelfth (12 th ) grade.Medical Assistant I:
Must possess a clinical medical assisting certificate of completion from an accredited training institution.Medical Assistant II:
Must possess a valid certification as a Medical Assistant from an institution approved by the Medical Board of California. Requires one (1) year of related experience in a medical setting.License and Special Requirements:
A valid California Class C driver's license or alternative form of transportation may be required for some positions at the time of appointment. Individuals who do not meet this requirement due to a disability will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Must have certification of phlebotomy proficiency from their training school; or, must possess a valid phlebotomy certification from the State of California. Must complete periodic continuing education coursework as required to maintain active certification. Requires CPR certification.Bilingual Candidates :
Must pass a Merit Systems Services written and/or oral bilingual proficiency test (or other appropriate test selected by the County) to qualify. The department is recruiting for one (1) extra help vacancy. In addition, Tehama County is establishing an eligibility list to fill future vacancies for an Extra Help Medical Assistant I/II, as well as subsequent vacancies which occur during the life of the eligibility list. In compliance with current regulations in the state of California, this position does not require employees obtain aCOVID-19
