Job Description
Hiring Immediately Medical Assistant Position Summary:
Provide patient-focused service within our Ob-Gyn clinic. Job responsibilities may include patient registration and/or intake, clinical duties such as specimen collection or patient assessment activities such as vital signs while displaying courteous and engaging behavior toward our patients. Requires MA Certification or Certified Nursing Assistant.Responsibilities:
Assist healthcare professionals with patient care and medical procedures Perform medical administrative tasks in electronic health record Take and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, weight and pulse Prepare patients for examinations and assist during procedures Administer/order medications as directed by healthcare providers Conduct basic laboratory tests and collect specimens for testing Provide patient education on medical conditions, treatments and preventive care Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environmentSkills:
Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy Strong patient service skills with a compassionate and caring demeanor Ability to accurately take and record vital signs Experience in medical documentation and following established protocols for procedure setup and processing of medical instruments for sterilization Familiarity with coding systems for medical procedures and diagnosesRequirements :
Qualified candidates must possess the necessary skills and meet the following requirements: Completion of a Medical Assistant program or equivalent training Certification or registration as a Medical Assistant preferred but not required Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment alongside physicians and nurse practitioners while maintaining attention to detail.Note:
