Key Responsibilities:
Prepare exam rooms and assist with patient appointments Collect specimens and record accurate vital signs and medical histories Assist providers with office-based procedures Follow up with patients regarding test results and imaging Support front office tasks like scheduling and confirming appointments Use electronic medical records (eClinicalWorks EMR experience preferred) Help maintain a smooth, efficient, and friendly clinic environment Full assistance to a doctor with a patient
Qualifications Education:
High school diploma or GED required
Certified/Registered Medical Assistant Options:
One of the following certifications required: CCMA, CMA, NCMA, or RMA Certification/registration must be maintained OR Three years of Medical Assistant experience Preferred Experience Prior experience in direct patient care within a healthcare or ambulatory clinic Familiarity with eClinicalWorks EMR Skills & Requirements Current CPR certification (required) Strong communication and teamwork skills Computer proficiency and attention to detail Ability to lift 15 lbs unassisted and assist patients (with team help, up to 200 lbs) Comfortable working in a busy, fast-paced environment
