• Full-time We are seeking a certified medical assistant with experience in Surgery or a related field for a multispecialty surgical office.

Responsibilities include:

Working with an assigned physician on a daily basis Escorting patient to exam room Recording medical information, vitals, reviewing medications Following up on lab and therapy results Maintaining close contact with patients to ensure that ancillary and surgical experiences are pleasant Obtaining authorization for tests and procedures Answering phones and assisting with check in/out procedures as necessary Assisting with appointment scheduling Reviewing and preparing next day's assignments Assisting with minor procedures Routine phlebotomy Other duties as assigned Job requirements: Must be a certified medical assistant with at least 2 years' experience Must have the ability to multitask Excellent communication skills both written and verbal Strong interpersonal skills with attention to detail and accuracy Computer knowledge is a must Experience with

EPIC EMR

system is ideal Bilingual is a plus
