Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Medical Assistant/Receptionist, where your energy and dedication will directly impact patient care and clinic efficiency. This vital role combines front-office responsibilities with clinical support, ensuring seamless patient experiences from check-in to treatment. Ideal candidates are proactive, detail-oriented, and passionate about delivering exceptional patient service in a fast-paced medical environment. Whether working in outpatient clinics, hospital settings, or specialized units, you will be an essential part of our mission to provide outstanding healthcare services. Duties Greet patients warmly, verify their information, and assist with appointment scheduling using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems (eCW) Collect and record vital signs, patient histories, and current medications accurately to support clinical assessments Prepare examination rooms, assist providers with pulmonary function testing (PFT) and six-minute walk test Manage patient intake processes, including insurance verification for accurate billing and documentation Support clinical staff with basic life support (BLS), medication administration, diagnostic, sleep, and lab orders, and other medical tasks within scope of training Maintain organized patient records, update EHR data promptly, and ensure compliance with privacy regulations Answer phone calls professionally, call patients for appointment reminders, direct inquiries appropriately, and coordinate follow-up appointments efficiently Requirements Proven experience in clinic settings such as pulmonology, internal medicine, or urgent care environments; out patient setting is a plus Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and medical-surgical procedures necessary for effective patient care support Familiarity with inpatient and outpatient workflows within is a plus. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) required Being bilingual is a plus Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in fast-paced environments Proficiency with EHR systems and insurance verification to ensure accurate documentation and billing processes Excellent communication skills with a compassionate approach to patient service and teamwork This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to grow your healthcare career while making a meaningful difference in patients' lives.
