Lewisville, TX Schedule:
Full-time, on-site (hybrid possible after trial)
Compensation:
Trial period at $22-26/hour (commensurate with experience), converting to $52,000-$60,000/year salary upon successful completion of a 90-day trial. About Synergy Health We're a growing physician-led primary care and weight-loss practice in Lewisville, expanding our service lines across primary care, GLP-1 weight management, and testosterone replacement therapy. This is a single-provider practice scaling intentionally — meaning you won't be a cog in a giant billing department. You'll own the revenue cycle, work directly with the physician and CEO, and have real autonomy to build and improve how billing runs here. The Role We're looking for an experienced medical biller to own our revenue cycle end to end in AdvancedMD.
This is a build-and-run position:
you'll be the person who makes sure claims go out clean, denials get worked, prior auths get approved, and money actually lands in the account. We start new billers on an hourly trial so both sides can confirm it's a strong fit, then convert to a full-time salaried role with the path to grow as the practice grows. What You'll Own Charge entry, claim scrubbing, and batch submission in AdvancedMD (Waystar/Optum clearinghouse) Daily work of the Charge Review, Claim Inspector, and Exclusions queues so batches submit clean Insurance eligibility verification ahead of visits (BCBS TX, Aetna, Cigna, Medicare, Baylor Scott & White, First Health) Prior authorizations, including GLP-1 agents via CoverMyMeds ERA posting, payment reconciliation, denial management, and appeals AR follow-up — keeping days-in-AR low and denial rates down Patient billing: statements, balance questions, payment plans Monthly collections and AR reporting to ownership What You Bring 3+ years of medical billing experience, ideally in primary care Hands-on AdvancedMD experience — actual cycle management, not just exposure Working knowledge of E/M coding (99204/99205, 99214), Annual Wellness Visit codes (G0438/G0439), G2211, and modifier logic Clearinghouse experience (Waystar, Optum, or comparable) A clean track record resolving denials and managing AR Nice to Have CPB or CPC certification Prior-auth experience, especially with GLP-1 medications Bilingual (Spanish) Why Join Direct access to the physician and CEO — your work is seen and it matters Autonomy to fix what's broken and build the process the right way Growth alongside a practice that's actively expanding Clear hourly-to-salary path with a defined 90-day milestone Synergy Health is an equal opportunity employer.
