Job Description
Long Term Medical Supply | Hampton, IA | In Person At Long Term Medical Supply, we treat our customers like family. For years, we have proudly served communities across Iowa by providing high-quality medical equipment and supplies with exceptional customer service. Our corporate office is currently seeking a Full-Time Medical Biller to join our growing team. Position Summary The Medical Biller is responsible for supporting all aspects of the billing and reimbursement process while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely claim processing. This role works closely with internal departments, vendors, and payors to support efficient revenue cycle operations. Essential Responsibilities Implement and uphold Long Term Medical Supply's mission and customer service standards Process medical billing claims accurately and timely through electronic and/or manual systems Assist with claim follow-up, resubmissions, collections, and reimbursement processing Review incoming paperwork daily for completeness, accuracy, and billing readiness Verify documentation for billed items and services Maintain accurate billing records and pull inactive files for storage as needed Communicate billing concerns, discrepancies, or delays to leadership promptly Assist with accounts receivable and accounts payable functions Collect and retain required information from vendors, clients, or payors as needed Prepare reports and supporting documentation as requested Support administrative functions including filing, scanning, mail processing, and answering phones Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives (IOP) Complete assigned training, continuing education, and e-learning requirements Follow all company policies, procedures, compliance requirements, and professional standards Maintain confidentiality of patient and billing information Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned
Qualifications Preferred:
Previous medical billing, insurance claims, accounts receivable, or healthcare administrative experience Knowledge of insurance reimbursement processes and medical documentation requirements Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced office setting Strong communication and problem-solving skills Experience with healthcare billing software and Microsoft Office preferredValid Driver's License Schedule:
Full-Time Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 4:00PM Benefits:
