Medical Billing & Coding Specialist

Position Summary Pulse4Pulse is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Medical Billing & Coding Specialist to support our growing operations team. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their career who has experience in both billing and coding and is looking to further develop their skill set in a fast-paced, collaborative healthcare environment. This role will primarily focus on medical coding accuracy and documentation alignment , while also supporting billing processes and overall revenue cycle operations. The ideal candidate is detail-driven, eager to learn, and comfortable working across both coding and billing functions. Key Responsibilities Review clinical documentation and accurately assign medical codes (CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS) Ensure coding accuracy and compliance with payer guidelines and regulatory standards Identify and correct coding discrepancies to support clean claim submission Collaborate with clinical and operations teams to clarify documentation and improve coding accuracy Support claim submission processes and assist with billing workflows as needed Monitor coding-related denials and assist in resolution and root cause analysis Maintain up-to-date knowledge of coding updates, guidelines, and best practices Assist in improving coding and billing processes to enhance overall efficiency Qualifications 1+ year of experience in medical billing and/or coding (internship or entry-level experience welcome) Basic knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding systems Familiarity with insurance claims, EOBs, and denial management Strong understanding of medical coding principles and documentation requirements High attention to detail and accuracy Strong organizational and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong communication skills and professionalism Experience with EMR/EHR systems is a plus CPC certification or progress toward certification is a plus Compensation & Benefits $20 - $24/hour , based on experience Health insurance Paid Time Off + company holidays Opportunity for growth within a fast-growing healthcare company Collaborative and supportive team environment About Pulse4Pulse Pulse4Pulse is a healthcare technology company focused on improving early detection and patient outcomes through innovative, non-invasive diagnostic solutions.
