Medical Clerk I/II - Spanish Bilingual

There is one position available that can be filled at any level, depending on the qualifications of the successful applicant. This recruitment will be used to fill a current vacancy and establish an eligibility list to fill other openings without reposting. Selection Procedure The following is a tentative schedule of events that will occur as part of the selection process:

• Applications will be accepted from 5/20/2026 through 5/31/2026 .
• Screening for minimum qualifications.
• The Clerical exams will be on Wednesday, June 3rd .
• Bilingual Exams. This position requires the ability to speak, read, and write Spanish in addition to English. Applicants will be required to pass a proficiency exam.
• Interviews.

Medical Clerk I Receives general supervision from supervisory or management staff. Medical Clerk II Receives general supervision from supervisory or management staff. May exercise functional and technical supervision over lower-level clerk staff. Any combination of experience and training that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be:

Medical Clerk I Experience:

One year of clerical/administrative experience involving public contact.

Training:

Equivalent to completion of the twelfth grade. Medical Clerk II Two years of responsible clerical/administrative experience involving public contact, including one year in a medical or clinical setting.

Training:

Equivalent to completion of the twelfth grade. The salary range above consists of 15 steps. Steps 1-6 are annual merit steps with approximately 5% difference between each step, based on successful performance. Steps 7-15 are additional merit steps, requiring 2 years of satisfactory performance at the previous step. Steps 7-14 provide 2.5% increases, while Step 15 offers a 5% increase. The final salary offered will depend on the applicant's experience and qualifications, ranging from steps 1 to 15.
