This position will oversee all functions of the Laboratory while ensuring that all policies and procedures are followed. This is a working manager position. How does it get done? Manager will conduct medical laboratory tests and provide training and technical assistance to staff, manage workforce based on organizational goals and budget considerations. Manager will identify and analyze problems weighing relevance and accuracy of information, generate and evaluate alternative solutions by making recommendations. Who are the customers? Patients in the facility, staff and the community. Ideal Candidate Patients in the facility, staff and the community. Minimum Qualification Associate's Degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Chemistry, or Biology and MLT, ASCP, or AMT certification or equivalent per CLIA standards and two (2) years of experience as it pertains to the essential duties and responsibilities of the classification. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field above certification requirements and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling four (4) years may substitute for the required education and experience Employment Requirements Must successfully complete and pass a background check. Working Conditions Work is performed in a hospital setting, long hours of standing, sitting and equipment use is required. May be required to work nights, weekends and holidays.
