Role:

Minimum Qualifications:

Knowledge of laboratory safety protocols and quality control standards. Ability to operate and maintain standard laboratory equipment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or related discipline. Experience in specialized laboratory areas such as microbiology or histology. Familiarity with laboratory information systems (LIS) and electronic health records (EHR). Advanced certifications or training in specific laboratory techniques or instrumentation. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

Collect, prepare, and process biological specimens such as blood, urine, and tissue samples for laboratory analysis. Perform routine and specialized tests in areas including chemistry, hematology, coagulation, microbiology, and histology using automated and manual laboratory equipment. Maintain and calibrate laboratory instruments to ensure accuracy and reliability of test results. Document and report test findings accurately and promptly to healthcare providers while maintaining patient confidentiality. Adhere to laboratory safety standards, quality control procedures, and regulatory compliance requirements. Assist in troubleshooting technical issues and participate in continuous improvement initiatives within the laboratory. Collaborate with medical staff to interpret test results and provide technical support as needed.
