Medical Office Assistant

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant/Floater/Back office candidate to join our healthcare team 2 days per week on Monday and Tuesdays could be up to 4 days a week eventually. We are looking for someone that wants to work a few hours per week to help out in our medical practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. This position requires strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Receptionist knowledge is a plus. Duties Assist healthcare provider during patient examinations and procedures. Perform routine clinical tasks, including taking vital signs and recording medical histories. Prepare patients for cardiology consultations. Maintain accurate patient records within electronic health systems, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with regulations. Provide exceptional patient service by addressing inquiries and concerns effectively. Support the clinic by managing appointment scheduling, follow-ups, and patient education on treatment plans. perform EKG'S Knowledge of front desk check in/out patients, this will be expected to cover vacations. Skills Strong patient service orientation with excellent communication skills. Proficient in basic life support techniques and emergency response protocols. Perform tasks in the office when called on Perform prescription refills Competence in taking vital signs accurately and efficiently. Experience with electronic health record systems is preferred but not mandatory. A proactive attitude towards learning new skills and adapting to various clinical environments.
