Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Medical Office Assistant to join our healthcare team! In this vital role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, providing exceptional customer service while managing a wide range of administrative and clinical tasks. Your energetic approach will ensure smooth clinic operations, accurate documentation, and efficient communication across departments. Duties Greet patients warmly, verify insurance information, and assist with patient intake processes using
EMR TEBRA.
Schedule appointments accurately utilizing medical scheduling software and coordinate with providers to optimize clinic flow. Perform insurance verification, process medical billing and collections, and handle Medicare claims in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Manage front desk responsibilities including answering multi-line phone systems with professional phone etiquette, managing patient inquiries, and maintaining a welcoming office environment. Support medical administrative functions such as filing, data entry (including 10 key typing), and managing medical records. Assist with standards, and ensure compliance with health information management protocols. Qualifications Medical office setting or healthcare environment with clinic experience a plus. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and Medicare processes to ensure accurate billing and documentation. Excellent computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office. Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a busy office setting. Exceptional patient service skills paired with professional phone etiquette and clear communication abilities. Prior office management or clerical experience combined with medical billing and insurance verification knowledge will set candidates apart. Pay:
$16.00 - $19.00 per hour
