Job Description
Oneida Health is seeking a Full-Time Medical Office Assistan t for our Camden Pediatrics Office. This role is a dynamic blend of clinical and administrative responsibilities. The ideal candidate will thrive in a customer-centric environment, showcasing both independence and teamwork. While medical experience is a plus, a customer service attitude is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
Engage with patients in person and over the telephone with a customer service-oriented approach. Collect and record patient data with keen attention to detail. Address the needs of patients, visitors, co-workers, and the practice in a positive and timely manner. Demonstrate strong computer skills for efficient administrative tasks. Maintain a safe and hygienic environment for patients, adhering to infection prevention techniques. Assist providers with procedures and examinations. Perform treatments and procedures as directed. Reassure patients about wait times, giving priority to acutely ill patients. Maintain accurate medical records. Check equipment and stock supplies as needed. Place supply and pharmacy orders as required. Facilitate and execute physician orders as directed. Coordinate and schedule referrals and surgeries.
