Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Medical Office Front Desk professional to join our healthcare team. In this vital role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, ensuring a welcoming environment while managing essential administrative functions. Your energetic approach and strong organizational skills will help streamline daily operations, facilitate accurate documentation, and support efficient patient flow. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication abilities, proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems, and a solid understanding of medical terminology and billing processes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-quality patient care in a fast-paced medical setting. Duties Greet patients and visitors warmly, providing exceptional customer service and maintaining professional phone etiquette across multi-line phone systems Verify patient insurance coverage through insurance verification processes and ensure accurate documentation in EHR systems such Intergy. Schedule appointments efficiently using medical scheduling software coordinating with clinical staff to optimize patient flow Manage medical records by filing, retrieving, and updating patient information while adhering to HIPAA regulations for health information management Assist with medical billing and collection efforts by processing payments, submitting claims, and following up on unpaid accounts in compliance with CPT coding, ICD-10/ICD-9 coding standards, Medicare guidelines, and other payer requirements Review documentation for accuracy and completeness, supporting clinical staff with care plans and ensuring proper coding for procedures and diagnoses Maintain office supplies inventory, perform clerical tasks such as data entry with high typing accuracy (including 10-key typing), and support overall office management activities Qualifications Proven experience in a medical office environment or healthcare setting with strong clerical and administrative skills Familiarity with EMR/EHR system Intergy is a plus Knowledge of medical billing procedures, insurance verification processes, CPT coding, ICD coding (ICD-10/ICD-9), and Medicare guidelines Excellent communication skills with the ability to handle patient inquiries professionally via phone and written correspondence. Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and health information management software Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Prior clinic experience is preferred; familiarity with hospital or healthcare administrative procedures is advantageous Join our team where your energy makes a difference!
