Office Manager - Ophthalmology About Us Join our premier ophthalmology practice, where we pride ourselves on providing outstanding working conditions and an exceptionally supportive team environment. Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled, self-directed Office Manager to lead our daily operations and optimize office flow. Working closely under the direction of the practice Owner, you will supervise all personnel across all practice locations. You will drive staff effectiveness, strategic planning, regulatory compliance, and profitability, while executing the annual business plan and budget. Responsibilities Performance & Office Management
- Supervise clinic, front desk, and billing personnel.
- Manage daily patient flow and resolve bottlenecks.
- Handle distressed or disruptive patient situations.
- Review and approve payroll hours and PTO.
- Arrange facility repairs and recommend technology upgrades. Financial Responsibilities
- Manage accounts payable, verify invoices, and ensure timely payment of all practice bills.
- Execute the annual practice business plan and monitor budget requirements.
- Oversee financial reporting, tracking expenses to maximize practice profitability.
- Partner with the billing department to ensure healthy cash flow and financial compliance. Employee Relations & Compliance
- Maintain a positive, cooperative office atmosphere.
- Enforce and update the Employee Policy Manual.
- Ensure strict compliance with all employment laws.
- Conduct regular staff meetings to enhance communication.
- Resolve day-to-day employee conflicts efficiently. Training, Licensing & Marketing
- Coordinate staff training and credentialing programs.
- Maintain Dr. Muller's licensing, CME, and credentials.
- Manage internal and external marketing functions.
- Cultivate healthy relationships with referring physicians. Qualifications and Skills
Education :
Bachelor's or Associate Degree in Human Resources, Management, or a related field (High school diploma/GED required).Experience :
4+ years in Human Resource Management or Medical Operations.Ophthalmology Preference :
1+ year of medical management experience in ophthalmology is highly preferred.Leadership :
Exceptional management skills with extensive knowledge of clinical operations and employment laws.Tech Skills :
Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.Soft Skills :
Excellent grammar, written communication, conflict resolution, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Schedule- Full-time (Day shift) Benefits & Pay
