Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Medical Receptionist / Admin Assistant to join our healthcare team. This vital role combines front desk responsibilities with administrative support, ensuring smooth clinic operations and exceptional patient service. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, possess strong organizational skills, and demonstrate a passion for providing outstanding care coordination. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to patient health journeys while developing comprehensive medical administrative expertise. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly, verify their insurance information, and assist with check-in procedures using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) system, Clinicient. Schedule patient appointments efficiently, manage cancellations, and coordinate follow-up visits to optimize clinic flow. Verify insurance coverage and benefits, including Medicare and Medicaid, ensuring accurate billing and documentation review in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Collect outstanding payments through medical collections processes and process payments using office management. Maintain accurate medical records by filing documents, updating patient information, and managing electronic health records (EHR systems). Handle multi-line phone systems with professionalism, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette while managing appointment scheduling and patient inquiries. Support with special tasks to include Patient AR and Medical Record Requests Qualifications Proven experience as a Medical Receptionist or Administrative Assistant within a healthcare setting is preferred, but not required, we are willing to train. Starting salary is dependent on experience. Excellent computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and health information management software. Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to handle sensitive information in accordance with HIPAA standards. Bilingual abilities are a plus, but not required. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for documentation review and insurance verification processes. Pay:
$16.00 - $18.00 per hour
