Member Experience Representative Fox Valley Family YMCA Job Type Part-Time / Full-Time Available Position Summary The Fox Valley Family YMCA is seeking welcoming, energetic, and community-minded individuals to join our Member Experience team. This role is responsible for creating a positive and engaging experience for every member and guest who enters the YMCA. More than a traditional front desk position, this role serves as the first impression of the YMCA experience. Member Experience Representatives help foster connection, build relationships, and create a welcoming environment where people feel comfortable, supported, and like they belong. The ideal candidate enjoys working with people, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is willing to jump in wherever needed to support the member experience and daily operations of the YMCA. Essential FunctionsMember Hospitality & Engagement Greet and welcome members and guests in a warm, professional, and engaging manner Build positive relationships with members and create a welcoming atmosphere throughout the facility Provide tours and assist new members in becoming familiar with YMCA spaces, programs, and services Proactively engage with members to support a strong sense of community and belonging Create a positive member experience by addressing questions, concerns, and needs in a friendly and solution-oriented way Membership & Administrative Support Assist with membership setup, program registration, account updates, and member inquiries Process transactions accurately using YMCA membership software Provide accurate information regarding programs, schedules, and policies Maintain cleanliness and organization of the welcome center and lobby areas Support daily opening and closing procedures Team Support & Operations Assist with branch events, community activities, and member engagement initiatives Support multiple departments and help with operational tasks as needed Demonstrate flexibility and a team-first mindset by stepping in to help wherever support is needed Help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment throughout the facility Contribute to a positive workplace culture that prioritizes hospitality, teamwork, and service Qualifications Previous customer service, hospitality, retail, or community engagement experience preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment Comfortable initiating conversations and building relationships with members Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and assist beyond assigned tasks Basic computer and technology skills CPR/AED certification required within 90 days of hire (YMCA training available) Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout shifts Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds Ability to work evenings, weekends, and flexible schedules as needed Why Work at the YMCA?
