Full Job Description Good Intentions Counseling Services is seeking a dedicated and empathetic Mental Health Security Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the safety and well-being of individuals with neurodivergent mental health conditions. The ideal candidate will possess a unique combination of security expertise, crisis intervention skills, and a deep understanding of mental health considerations.
Responsibilities :
Security and Safety:
  • Implement and enforce security protocols to maintain a safe and secure environment for neurodivergent individuals.
  • Monitor and respond to security incidents, utilizing de-escalation techniques to mitigate potential crises.
Crisis Intervention:
  • Receive specialized training in crisis intervention and apply it to support individuals experiencing mental health crises.
  • Collaborate with mental health professionals and caregivers to develop and implement crisis management plans tailored to each individual's needs.
Communication and Collaboration:
  • Effectively communicate with healthcare staff, mental health professionals, and caregivers to ensure a coordinated approach to security and mental health support.
  • Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to address the unique challenges posed by neurodivergent individuals.
Patient Advocacy:
  • Advocate for the rights and well-being of neurodivergent individuals, ensuring their dignity and autonomy are respected.
  • Act as a liaison between school personnel and mental health professionals to facilitate a comprehensive approach to care.
Training and Education:
  • Stay informed about the latest developments in mental health, neurodiversity, and security best practices.
  • Provide training to security personnel on understanding and responding to the unique needs of neurodivergent individuals.
