Job Description

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Mental Health Therapists to join our dynamic team. You will work in a supportive environment that values professional growth, innovation, and client-centered approaches. In these vital roles, you will provide comprehensive mental health services to diverse populations, including children, adolescents and adults in Jackson County. South Mississippi Mental Health Center Adult Therapist:
Provides assessments, individual, group, and family therapy in compliance with DMH standards.
Children's Therapist:
Provides assessments, individual, group, and family therapy in compliance with DMH standards. Provides clinical supervision for day treatment programs when assigned.
ICORT Therapist:
Provides services to persons with severe and persistent mental illness who qualify for services under the Intensive Community Outreach and Recovery Team (I-CORT) program and serves as a member of the I-CORT multidisciplinary team.
M-CeRT Therapist:
Triage crisis calls from family members, individuals in crisis, community members, and others to assess the need for mobile crisis response or de-escalation and follow-up referral via phone. Provides face-to-face assessment within 2 hours of initial contact when deemed appropriate. EAP Therapist - requires valid MS clinical licensure (LPC or LCSW) The Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Therapist serves as the primary clinician for the Center's Employee Assistance Program, delivering solution-focused, short-term assessment and counseling services to employees and their eligible household members referred through contracted employer partner organizations. In addition to EAP responsibilities, this position provides ongoing outpatient therapy services to assigned or scheduled traditional clients in accordance with DMH standards and agency caseload needs. Requirements Master's degree in psychology, social work, counseling or related field from an accredited institution Professional behavior health license or DMH certification in the field serviced Satisfactory completion of CPR prior to reporting to the work site Satisfactory completion of Mandt/CPI within 30 days of employment Valid driver's license and current auto liability insurance - if driving is required for the position Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport quickly and work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams Preferred Qualifications Previous experience as a therapist in a mental health setting strongly preferred Strong skills in crisis management, crisis intervention and emergency response protocols Previous experience with
EPIC EHR
software
