Job Description

Warehouse Inventory Specialist- Day Shift At Diamond Pet Foods, we take pride in our work, our departments and our company. We share a passion for pets and the unique bond that pet owners have with their dogs and cats. Join our dynamic food manufacturing team at Diamond Pet Foods as a Warehouse Inventory Specialist! Opening is for Day Shift with working hours of 8:00 am - 4:00 pm. This critical role offers an excellent opportunity to work in a steady-paced, quality and safety-focused environment. You will need to be trainable and proficient in Excel, TMS applications, and IFS applications. Are you capable of processing daily paperwork to ensure orders are ready for loading in a timely manner and trailers are reported to their respective carriers? $20.00 per hour

Assist in all aspects of special accounts Assist in printing pick lists for daily orders and marking with carrier and appointment times Assist in scanning product to orders waiting on test and hold Responsible for making and scrapping old product Pulling test and hold tags on product in the warehouse as needed Working with and checking drivers in and out of the facility in a professional and respectful manner Investigate inventory inaccuracies in all manner of inventory transactions, identifying root cause of issues. Document/report findings. Work with personnel to implement solutions via training, process modification, etc. Assist in the scheduling of outbound loads from the facility, and entering outbound loads into the transportation management system (TMS) and communicating with carriers regarding appointments Assist Logistics Coordinator and Logistics Coordinator Assistant as needed Understand and comply with all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), GMPs, and HACCP Working overtime is MANDATORY and requires full participation Keep work area clean and maintain assigned portion of master sanitation schedule Report all safety violations to the supervisor immediately and follow all safety protocols and procedures, as well as always wearing required PPE Other duties and responsibilities as required or assigned by the supervisor to be accepted with a positive and professional attitude
Qualifications:
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other basic computer skills. Capable of composing and sending professional emails. Ability to pay attention to detail and multitask. Must hold a valid driver's license. Must successfully pass a pre-employment screening (background check, drug screening, and physical). Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds, easily get on and off forklifts, and climb ladders.
Work Environment :
Work is primarily performed indoors near operating equipment and loud noise such as forklift horns and loose particles may be present. Work performed requires employees to operate in various temperatures. Work performed in this job requires employee to wear bump cap, hearing protection, safety shoes/boots, and safety glasses at all times. Required safety items provided at company expense.
