system (New World Systems) as well as provide expertise in business office specialized projects with cross department connectedness.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Demonstrates a strong commitment to equity, social justice, and inclusion in all practices and position responsibilities. Engages in reflection and ongoing learning and development on critical concepts and terms identified in the Washtenaw ISD Educational Equity Policy including concepts such as cultural proficiency, racial equity, and systemic and structural inequities. Provides direct New World support to department office professionals and department managers in processing business office tasks such as purchase orders, account questions, Miscellaneous Billings etc. Trains WISD staff on the district ERP system (New World) as well as Business Office policies and procedures as needed. Conducts regular meetings for Office Professionals and/or department managers to identify and resolve operational challenges related to processing Business Office transactions to optimize performance, communication, and support. Creates, updates, and maintains Business Office department procedural manuals to include NWS, employee reimbursements, conference and travel reimbursements, and classroom revolving accounts, etc. Coordinates and manages projects for the Finance Director. Assists Finance Director in communicating deadlines for all Business Office related tasks as well as creates and maintains task calendars for office professionals on related business office functions. Assists with educating office professionals on importance and impact of financial transactions and the how purchases, deadlines, Purchase Card Transactions, journal entries, etc., impact the workload of staff. Maintains and monitors districtwide WISD mobile device invoices for accuracy, proper accounting for costs, maintenance, and elimination of non-utilized devices in cooperation with the Technology and Data Services department, including coordinating the issuance of a device with phone stipends. Serves as District Amazon administrator for review and monitoring of purchases and works with office professionals on Amazon Purchase orders and invoices as needed. Coordinates with Business Office Professional IV staff for successful processing of accounts payable transactions. Assists with preparing audit documents related to accounts payable and open miscellaneous billings. Maintains and communicates open miscellaneous billing invoices to maintain timely payment. Serves as District liaison for district staff to assist in troubleshooting adjustments and errors in processed Miscellaneous Billings. Serves as backup for A/P and Payroll processing. Communicates with the Finance Director to identify necessary process refinements. Maintains regular, predictable attendance.PERFORMS OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED. Associate degree in a business-related field- required. Bachelor's degree in a business-related field
- preferred Three to five years of experience
- preferred. Proven team building experience. Experience working with a financial ERP software
- preferred.

Current valid driver's license. Project Specialist/Management Certification.LANGUAGE SKILLS

Demonstrates proficiency in the use of a personal computer (PC) or MAC in a networked environment to utilize the Internet and other electronic communications mechanisms such as email, conferencing, bulletin boards, etc. Exhibits a high proficiency utilizing productivity applications such as Microsoft Office (word processing, spreadsheets, database and presentation software) and other technology to support efficient and effective office operation- required.
