We are currently seeking a Right-of-Way Engineer with 5 to 10 years' experience to join one of our Ohio offices. In this role, you will have an immediate impact on our firm as we strive to provide the best solutions for our clients. Annual Compensation:
$95,000 - 115,000 based upon experience, certifications, and regional market standards.

MID-LEVEL RIGHT-OF-WAY ENGINEER ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Lead the preparation of right-of-way plans, plats, legal descriptions, and exhibits in accordance with Ohio Department of Transportation requirements and local agency standardsPerform and oversee boundary analysis, title research coordination, and resolution of complex property issuesProvide engineering oversight for transportation-related design elements impacting right-of-way (e.g., alignments, easements, drainage impacts)Sign and seal engineering and surveying documents in compliance with Ohio Board of Engineers and Surveyors regulationsManage and mentor survey and right-of-way staff, including technicians and junior professionalsCoordinate with project managers, clients, utility companies, and public agencies to facilitate right-of-way acquisition and project deliveryReview survey data, plats, and legal descriptions for accuracy and completenessSupport project scheduling, budgeting, and resource planning for right-of-way -related tasksAssist with proposals, scope development, and client relationship managementOther duties as assigned
MID-LEVEL RIGHT-OF-WAY ENGINEER ESSENTIAL CREDENTIALS
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Surveying, or a related fieldActive licensure as Professional Surveyor (PS) in the
State of Ohio Qualifications:
Prequalification by ODOT as Right of Way Designer and/or ReviewerMinimum of 4+ years of progressive experience in right-of-way engineering and/or land surveyingStrong knowledge of Ohio right-of-way procedures, boundary law, and survey practicesFamiliarity with utility coordination and easement acquisition processesExperience with transportation projects and public agency coordination (ODOT experience strongly preferred)Proficiency with CAD software (e.g., OpenRoads Designer, AutoCAD Civil 3D) and Trimble Business Center.
