At Benjamin Franklin Academy, we do school differently. Our public charter school blends rigorous academics with hands-on learning, all within a supportive and close-knit environment. With small class sizes (approximately 20 students per class for 2026-2027), a four-day academic week, and Fridays devoted mostly to electives, field trips, and guest speakers, we create opportunities for real-world learning and genuine student engagement. Teacher #1: 7th Grade Math 7th & 8th Grade Electives (flexible based on your skills/interests) 10th & 11th Grade Digital Literacy (NH state requirement)Core/electives:

Plan and deliver engaging lessons for middle and high school students (grades 6-11). Develop innovative instructional strategies, including projects, discussions, and writing workshops. Foster a positive, respectful classroom environment. Use a variety of assessments to monitor student progress and adjust instruction as needed. Collaborate with colleagues, special education staff, and administrators. Participate in weekly staff meetings and occasional school events. Communicate effectively with students, parents, and guardians.Working Conditions:
Full-time, on-site position (7:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday). Fridays are devoted exclusively to electives, hands-on learning, and community experiences (not core academics). Occasional evening or weekend events (limited and announced in advance).Required:
Strong knowledge of middle and high school Math or English curriculum and instruction. Passion for teaching and student success. Ability to manage a classroom with positivity and structure.Preferred:
Bachelor's degree in a related field. Valid New Hampshire Teaching Certification. Experience in a public school setting. Familiarity with educational technology tools (Alma and Google Classroom).Benefits:
