Responsibilities Design and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards, incorporating innovative instructional strategies and learning technology tools Teach a variety of math topics including algebra and geometry to middle school students. Develop assessments, administer standardized tests, and provide constructive feedback to monitor student progress and achievement Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a positive, inclusive environment conducive to learning Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, instructional design, and extracurricular activities that enhance math education Provide academic advising and mentorship to support students' personal growth and educational goals Engage in ongoing professional development related to higher education teaching methods, special education needs, and research-based instructional practices Skills Strong knowledge of mathematics including algebra, and geometry Proven experience in classroom management and behavior management strategies Skilled in lesson planning, curriculum development, and instructional design tailored for middle school learners Proficient in working with learning technology platforms and integrating digital tools into lessons Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with students, parents, staff, and administration Ability to assess student performance through standardized testing and provide targeted tutoring or remediation as needed.
