Aug 10, 2026 Job Description Grain Valley Schools is seeking qualified, energetic, and passionate middle school math teacher to serve at North Middle School for the 2026-2027 school year. Qualified candidates must possess appropriate certification in the state of Missouri. Coaching and organization sponsor opportunities are available. Grain Valley teachers are expected to provide instruction that meets the district goals, mission, and benchmarks; create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity level and interest of the students. All candidates must also demonstrate a commitment to their own ongoing professional growth.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Plans for and guides the learning process to help students achieve educational objectives Selects and utilizes effective and appropriate instructional strategies Establishes a cooperative relationship with all students Works collaboratively with the grade-level team and content partners to achieve the overall purposes of the academic program Works collaboratively with school personnel to achieve the goals outlined in the building improvement plan Advises parents and/or legal guardians of student progress for the purpose of communicating expectations and student achievement, developing methods for improvement, and/or reinforcing classroom goals in the home Assesses student progress towards objectives, expectations, and/or goals for the purpose of providing feedback to students, parents, and administration Administers subject specific assessments and district and/or state tests for the purpose of assessing student competency levels and/or developing individual learning Analyzes assessment data for the purposes of providing intervention and enrichment opportunities Manages student behavior for the purpose of providing a safe and productive learning environment Engages in professional growth activities through an ongoing program of job-related knowledge and skill development Maintains regular and dependable attendance Well-versed in technology integration including G Suite for Education
SALARY & BENEFITS
Grain Valley Schools offers a competitive salary commensurate with experience as well as an attractive benefits package which includes medical, dental, vision, and life insurance options.

$43,000 to $92,000 Per Year Job Requirements Bachelor degree preferred. Citizenship, residency or work visa required
