Job Description:
Bulk Milk Hauler Position Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Bulk Milk Hauler to join our team with Newkirk Trucking Inc. The Bulk Milk Hauler will be responsible for safely transporting milk from dairy farms to processing plants, ensuring that all deliveries are made on time and in compliance with industry regulations.
Responsibilities:
1. Transport bulk quantities of milk from dairy farms to processing plants in a timely and efficient manner. 2. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the tanker truck to ensure it is in proper working condition. 3. Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving, including maintaining a safe following distance and obeying speed limits. 4. Operate tanker truck equipment, including pumps, hoses, and valves, to load and unload milk at dairy farms and processing plants. 5. Maintain accurate records of milk pickups and deliveries, including quantities transported and locations visited. 6. Communicate effectively with dairy farm personnel and processing plant staff to coordinate pickup and delivery schedules. 7. Follow sanitation procedures to ensure the cleanliness of tanker truck equipment and prevent contamination of milk during transport. 8. Report any mechanical issues or safety concerns to the appropriate supervisor for prompt resolution. 9. Uphold company policies and procedures related to safety, quality, and customer service at all times. 10. Provide exceptional customer service by maintaining a professional demeanor and representing the company positively in all interactions with dairy farm owners and processing plant personnel.
Qualifications:
1. Valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL) with tanker endorsement. 2. A minimum of 2 years of experience driving commercial vehicles, preferably in the dairy or agriculture industry. 3. Clean driving record with no more than 2 moving violations in the past 3 years. 4. Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records of milk pickups and deliveries. 5. Excellent communication skills and ability to interact professionally with customers and coworkers. 6. Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. 7. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and make sound decisions in high-pressure situations. 8. Commitment to upholding the highest standards of safety, quality, and customer service in all aspects of the job.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Prior experience hauling bulk milk or other liquid dairy products. 2. Familiarity with the geography of Northwest Iowa and surrounding areas. 3. Mechanical aptitude and ability to perform basic maintenance tasks on tanker truck equipment.

The job may require bending, stooping, and reaching to access equipment and perform tasks inside and around the tanker truck. 6.
Walking and Standing:
