Job Summary:

The Mill Operator is responsible for operating machinery and equipment used in the processing of minerals in the processing plant. They will perform tasks such as monitoring and adjusting equipment to ensure efficient operation, maintaining equipment to ensure proper functioning, and adhering to safety protocols to ensure a safe work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate bagging machines and equipment to fill bags the required quantity of materials. Ensure bags are properly labeled and stacked. Operate bag palletizing equipment to ensure optimal performance. Maintain cleanliness of the work area. Monitor equipment and process parameters and adjust as necessary to ensure optimal quality control. Keeps accurate records of mill process and output. Performs maintenance on the mill if necessary. Obtain samples for testing. Other duties assigned by the plant supervisor.

Qualifications:

Must be physically able to climb up and down stairs with ease. Ability to lift and move bags up to 100 pounds. Ability to work in a dusty environment. Ability to stand for long periods of time. Maintenance experience a plus. Application available at www.kyanite.com
