Job Title:
Millwork Installer Job Description The Millwork Installer travels across New England to install finished millwork at grocery store locations, working on both first and third shifts as needed. This role focuses on high-quality installation of end millwork fixtures, using carpentry skills, power tools, and the ability to read and interpret blueprints. Responsibilities Travel to various grocery store locations across New England to complete millwork installation projects, including occasional out-of-state day trips. Install finished end millwork and related components accurately and securely according to project specifications and plans. Read and interpret blueprints and installation drawings to ensure precise measurements and correct placement of millwork. Use hand and power tools safely and effectively to cut, fit, fasten, and finish millwork materials. Inspect completed installations to verify quality, alignment, and stability, making adjustments as needed. Follow site-specific procedures and safety guidelines while working in active grocery store environments on first and third shifts. Load, unload, and organize materials, tools, and equipment needed for each installation project. Communicate clearly with team members and site contacts to coordinate work, resolve issues, and meet project timelines. Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean, safe, and organized condition. Adhere to all company policies, including driving requirements, when traveling to and from job sites. Essential Skills Hands-on construction experience with a focus on installation work. Carpentry skills, including measuring, cutting, fitting, and finishing materials. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and installation drawings. Proficiency using power tools safely and accurately for installation tasks. Strong attention to detail to ensure high-quality, precise millwork installations. Valid and active driver's license to travel to project sites across New England. Ability to work first and third shifts as required by project schedules. Additional Skills & Qualifications No degree required; open to candidates with strong hands-on experience. Previous millwork installation experience is beneficial. Experience working in commercial or retail construction environments is a plus. Ability to work independently and as part of a small installation team. Strong problem-solving skills to address on-site installation challenges. Reliable transportation to meet at designated locations for travel to job sites. Why Work Here? Work Environment This role is field-based, with work performed at grocery store locations across New England, including occasional out-of-state day trips. The schedule includes both first and third shifts, depending on project needs and store operating hours. You will work in active retail environments, often outside of regular shopping hours, using standard construction and carpentry tools, including a variety of power tools. The work involves standing, bending, lifting materials, and working with fixtures and millwork in commercial spaces. Attire is practical and appropriate for construction and installation work, with required safety gear as needed on site. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saco, ME. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $28.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
