        Role:
        U.S. Pipe is seeking a Millwright to join our team. The Millwrights primary responsibility is work as part of a team to ensure the uninterrupted operation of the plant equipment in order to maximize operational efficiency in an environment of continuous training and improvement maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing plant equipment.
        Specific Responsibilities:
        • Works from blueprints, diagrams, charts, sketches, and verbal instructions to plan, install, assemble, fabricate, lubricate, test, adjust, inspect, dismantle make changeovers, repairs and maintain plant equipment, machinery, and structures.
        • Responsible in general for the starting, stopping, and uninterrupted performance of all mechanical equipment throughout the working shift.
        • Responsible for specific pieces of equipment under preventive maintenance program.
        • Answers all trouble calls and makes repairs as quickly and safely as possible.
        • Does cutting, welding, and brazing as necessary.
        • Operates power trucks and cranes when of assistance in performance of job duties to make mechanical repairs or adjustments.
        • Knows and uses hand signals for boom and overhead traveling cranes.
        • Uses procedures for lockout/Tagout whenever applicable.
        • Helps train lower-rated employees in the performance of their jobs.
        • Makes a written report on Maintenance Work Sheet at the end of each shift.
        • Keeps working area in a clean, safe, and orderly condition and performs all work in accordance with plant and departmental rules.
        Qualifications:
        • Experience in troubleshooting and repair of hydraulic, pneumatic and chain driven systems.
        • Experience in installing shafts, bearings and couplings and being able to align these components to a relative degree of precision.
        • Must be able to practice safe work procedures and comply with applicable safety rules and regulations in a heavy industrial environment.
        • Must be able to cooperate with and coordinate duties with other members of the crew. Should be able to perform work with minimum Supervision. Must be safety conscious at all times.
        • High School diploma or G.E.D. Must have a minimum of 2 years of prior experience in maintenance work or have successfully completed a Machinist curriculum from a vocational program.
        • Ability to weld.
        • Qualified candidates must have the ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints, drawings, and diagrams.
        • Positive, enthusiastic, and helpful.
