Job Description

POSITION PURPOSE/SUMMARY
This person's primary responsibility is to provide help where needed throughout the operation.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Feeds either dry/wet plant with feed consistency and is the first step in the production process Complete Pre-shift inspections and inspect process for mechanical or safety deficiencies and reports as found Helps maintain a safe and environmentally friendly workplace Some duties include, but are not limited to: Cleaning
  • via shovel, broom, vacuum, other Sampling
  • gathering samples as directed by QC Dept. Operating some mobile equipment including haul trucks, skid steers, and other heavy machinery Works with plant operators to provide consistency in operation Assists in plant maintenance Monitors plant components
  • conveyors, crusher, screeners, hoppers, pumps, etc.
Relays information to plant operator about production and/or any deficiencies in process Reports any equipment damage immediately Must display excellent communication skills Must be able to multi-task Maintains housekeeping in work place Must be self-motivated and flexible Performs other related duties as needed
WORKING CONDITIONS
Work is performed in outside, sometimes wet, environment and frequently climb stairs. Employee may be subject to changing weather conditions, lifting objects up to 50 lbs, minor heights, and non-hazardous chemicals. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Previous work experience on mining sites. High degree of attention required to prevent injury to self and others. Successfully pass pre-employment background check, drug screen, and physical. EDUCATION and/or
