16576 Job Title Food Production Mixer / Batch Mixer Job Summary The Food Production Mixer is responsible for accurately mixing ingredients according to production formulas and company standards to ensure high-quality food products. This role operates mixing equipment, measures ingredients, monitors batch consistency, and follows all food safety and sanitation guidelines in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Read and follow production formulas, recipes, and batch sheets accurately Measure, weigh, and mix ingredients according to specifications Operate industrial mixing equipment and related machinery safely Monitor mixing times, temperatures, and product consistency Inspect raw materials before use and report any quality concerns Maintain accurate production and batch records Follow GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices), HACCP, and food safety standards Clean and sanitize mixing equipment and work areas Assist with inventory control and ingredient staging Work closely with Quality Assurance and Production teams Identify and report equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs Maintain a safe and organized work environment Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred Previous experience in food manufacturing or production preferred Experience operating industrial mixers or food processing equipment is a plus Basic math and measurement skills Ability to read and understand production instructions and batch sheets Strong attention to detail and quality control Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production goals Physical Requirements Ability to stand for long periods of time Frequently lift up to 50 lbs Ability to bend, stoop, push, pull, and reach throughout shift Comfortable working in hot, cold, or noisy production environments Must be able to wear required PPE (hairnet, gloves, safety gear, etc.) Work Environment Food manufacturing or production facility May work around powders, liquids, food ingredients, and industrial equipment Overtime and weekend work may be required depending on production schedules Preferred Skills Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures Forklift or pallet jack experience is a plus Strong teamwork and communication skills Ability to multitask and prioritize workload efficiently
