Job Summary This internship role will support the Quality department in a manufacturing facility by helping maintain and improve the Quality Management System, shop-floor quality tools, and reporting of key quality/manufacturing data. This role will focus on procedural updates, digital work instruction utilization, and improving how quality data is summarized and communicated from enterprise systems. Job Responsibilities
- Provide procedure and document control support by: reviewing site procedures for accuracy and completeness verifying all referenced documents within procedures are current and correctly linked/identified updating procedures to align with and incorporate the new business unit procedures, ensuring consistency and proper revision control
- Shop-floor digital tool assessment (digital clipboard)
- Identify opportunities and recommendations for best utilization and potential expansion to DWMs (e.g., digital checklists, sign-offs, data capture, traceability)
- Work with Quality and Manufacturing stakeholders to document gaps, user needs, proposed standard work and identify data reporting improvement opportunities
- Evaluate existing reporting and data outputs from Syspro, Unipoint, and Empower
- Identify better methods to consolidate, trend, and report key metrics (scrap, defects, yields, NCRs, inspection results, rework, etc.).
- Develop draft dashboards, templates, or standard report formats to improve visibility and decision-making.
- Review quality data for compliance with customer requirements
- Perform professional administrative staff duties in support of functional areas, gradually increasing in level of difficulty and responsibility
- Contribute to the execution of projects and organizational objectives when asked
- Create various documents and electronic information with direction
- Assist in answering questions and/or refer inquiry to appropriate person
- Assist in researching information as needed for projects and other objectives
- Adhere to procedures relating to the proper use and care of equipment and materials for which the role has responsibility
- Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization
- May support staff in assigned project based work
- Ability to interact effectively at all levels and across diverse cultures Qualifications High school diploma or GED and completion of 1 semester of collegeCommunicate effectively orally and in writingEffectively utilize standard office software and computer equipmentProficient knowledge with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint U.
